Am I the A-hole for expecting my friends to always help me with tasks?

My roommates and I have been living together for about a year. We've made a decent agreement where we here each take turns doing the dishes, but lately, it feels like I'm always the one doing the work. Last week, my friend just didn't care to do their share. I got really annoyed because they just acted like it wasn't a big deal. I told them that it was unfair, and they got defensive. Now, they're saying I'm being a jerk. Am I really the asshole here?

Should I find new roommates?
